Why am I like this?

When am I going to become the adult I'm supposed to be?

Why does life feel so hard?

Will I ever get over it?

What is wrong with me?

If you find yourself asking questions like these, you're not alone. Almost everyone has times in their life when they feel stuck, lost, or afraid. If that's where you are at the moment, therapeutic counselling can help.

As a qualified counsellor, I offer trauma informed therapy to adults who feel like they are struggling when they want to be thriving. In particular, I specialise in working with adults with ADHD, neurodivergent women, the LGBTQ community, survivors of sexual abuse, and people experiencing relationship difficulties, such as complex family dynamics or intergenerational trauma.

My style is affirming, gentle, and trauma-informed. I work using an integrative approach that has evolved from a person-centred foundation. This means I draw from different therapeutic modalities as needed. Whether that's a person-centred approach like UPR, trauma informed therapy like somatic exercises, or something more structured like ADHD coaching or DBT skills, our work together will always be led by what feels right for you.

More about me

As a queer, neurodivergent, disabled woman, I aim to secure, affirming and accessible space for therapeutic work. I am a registered member of the NCPS (Accredited Registrant Member MNCPS Acc.) and work in line with their code of ethics.

After training as a Coach at the University of Nottingham, I went on to train as a Counsellor and hold an accredited Professional Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. Continuous professional development is essential for ethical practice, and I have gained experience in areas such as mental health social work, crisis support, sexual violence support, and trauma-informed practice, as well as training in specific techniques like Rewind, MI and DBT skills. I have worked in a variety of settings supporting adults and young people, including the NHS, higher education, and rape crisis.

As a trainer, I have facilitated sessions for professionals on topics including digital accessibility; neuroinclusive practise; inclusive approaches to working with survivors of sexual violence; queer theory and minority LGBTQ identities; and the social model of disability.
